Action Photography Services
Photo services for the AAYBA World Series locations in Texas, Missouri, & Colorado will be offered by GTR Sports Photography . Based on sales from the last several seasons and the feedback from our customers we changed our sales program in 2008 to predominantly CD sales. We gave priority to teams who ordered the "Tournament Special Team CD/DVD" package. Once this was completed we shot as many of the remaining teams as possible and put those photos on the web for online viewing and /or purchase. The CD/DVD side was a major success while the online sales were few, however with the 2009 season, we are going to tweak program and make still a few more changes.
In 2009 we will only photograph teams ordering the “Team CD/DVD or Online Gallery” package or individual players who order an “Athlete Spotlight” CD/DVD package. We will no longer photograph any player or any team that doesn't order one of our team or individual tournament packages. We will no longer offer photos for purchase via our online storefront. While we understand that a few sales may be missed, it just is no longer cost effective for us to shoot on speculation.
Last year when we photographed teams purchasing the pre-sale package, if they happened to be playing another team that purchased as well, we photographed them both at the same time. Beginning with the 2009 season we will only photograph one team per game which will allow us to shoot every hitter from both sides of the field, all defensive players (obviously the pitchers, catchers, and infielders, will get more exposure), and once all of the basic shots have been complete we will shoot every play directed by the action which will enable us to get tons of basic photos while allowing the photographer to get creative and shoot quite a large amount of action photos as well.
While we realize that the majority of teams will have already ordered team and individual photos from their league photographer, if any of you purchasing the package would like a team photo taken simply ask the photographer shooting your game and they will be glad to shoot a team photo that we will include on your CD/DVD or in your gallery.
In 2009 we will continue to offer the CD/DVD packages however, we will also add as an alternate choice to the CD/DVD an online web gallery complete with full high resolution photo files for immediate download not only by the players and parents but the link can be sent to relatives which will be especially beneficial for those with loved ones (grandparents, etc) out of state. This will save you the hassle and expense of printing and shipping their photos.
It is very apparent that more and more of our customers prefer to purchase their photos on CD/DVD or online gallery vs the traditional prints which offers many advantages to ordering the actual prints from us.
- With the photo CD/DVD or online download our customers can print in any size and any quantity that they prefer by printing the photos at home on their own photo printer or taking the CD/DVD to their local photo lab which nowadays include Wal-Mart, Costco, Walgreen's, Kinko's, etc. The photo printers used today by these companies are equal to those used by the majority of professional photo labs.
- By obtaining their photos on a CD/DVD or online gallery it enables our customers to email the photos to friends and relatives, upload photos to personal and team websites, to IPOD's, to cell phones, to My Space and Facebook pages, etc.
What we have found in the past is that when teams order photos generally eight parents per team will order at an average sale of right at $50.00 which is equal to two 8x10's or three 5x7's. With our team CD/DVD packages each player on your roster will receive a CD/DVD with every photo we have taken of their team, which will be substantially more photos than what your $50 has bought in the past. For moms who enjoy to scrapbook, this is an exceptional deal.

Team Package one - we will shoot one complete game, though we cannot guarantee the number of action photos we shoot for the entire duration of your game, as slaughter shortened games effect our numbers as well. If all of the players get into the game, we will guarantee that all players will be photographed. If they don't play there is nothing we can do, we cannot come to another game to photograph those that didn't play. The fee for this package is $275.00 per team if you order your photos to be delivered via your choice of a single CD/DVD which you can duplicate for your parents or an online gallery which breaks down to $21.15 per parent based on 13 players which is the average number of players rostered per team. Many times a team sponsor will pick up this fee. If you would rather have a CD/DVD burned for each player the fee is $395.00. The online gallery is the quickest and most hassle-free way of purchasing your World Series action photos.
Team Package two - we will shoot two complete games, though we cannot guarantee the number of action photos we shoot for the entire duration of your game, as slaughter shortened games effect our numbers as well. As outlined above if all of the players get into the game, we will guarantee that all players will be photographed. If they don't play there is nothing we can do, we cannot come to another game to photograph those that didn't play. The fee for this package $375.00 per team if you order your photos to be delivered via your choice of a single CD/DVD which you can duplicate for your parents or an online gallery which breaks down to $28.85 per parent based on 13 players which is the average number of players rostered per team. Many times a team sponsor will pick up this fee. If you would rather have a CD/DVD burned for each player the fee is $495.00. The online gallery is the quickest and most hassle-free way of purchasing your World Series action photos.
If only a small group of parents are interested in purchasing the package we can still shoot your children without photographing the entire team with the same discounted prices as above. Your cost per parent will be a bit higher but you will each get better coverage of your child. Even if only five parents order the $295 package your per parent cost is still only $59.00.

Individual “Athlete Spotlight” Package (Our #1 most requested package) – we will photograph one complete game of exclusively your child and your child only. The camera will stay on him at all times while in the field and follow him through his at-bat and running bases. The number of photos will be dependant on his playing time and his position defensively. A pitcher or catcher could have a bunch of photos taken while an infielder a little less, and an outfielder still fewer. However, if he is involved in an exceptional play we will have the photo. The fee for this package is $150.00 for every photo taken to be burned to a CD/DVD which like the packages above, will enable you to print as many photos as you wish, in whatever size you wish. We will schedule on a first come, first served basis and will maximize all of our available time slots. If this service is of interest to you don't wait until the last minute or we may not be able to schedule your child for this service. This is not sales hype.
Since most parents that purchase as outlined above spend $50 for only 2-3 photos you can see the extraordinary price of our CD/DVD and online gallery packages. All orders must be pre-ordered two weeks in advance of your check-in date. We need this information so we know how many photographers to work. We will not accept orders on-site.
