Click on the links below to view a list of teams that have registered for the four 2008 Open World Series events as of May 15, 2008. We will update the list again June 1st before beginning weekly if not daily updates on June 15th.
It is extrememly early and for this time of year our events are running well ahead of normal. Bear in mind that most other World Series events don't post a "Look Who is Coming" list this early and for some National tournaments you won't know who is participating until your arrival.
If any of you decide that you would like to participate in a different AAYBA World Series you may switch your registration up to 30 days out from the start of the event (assumming there is room available - if it is at a waiting list you will be inserted on the list by the date you originally entered which in most cases should put you at or near the top).

For Texas we have already closed the 10U & 11U age group once at 48 teams, and since expanded them to 56 teams. We expect these two age groups to close and go to a waiting list very soon. The 12U age group will also close at 56 teams while the 13U will close at 40 teams. In the 9U & 14U age groups we will accept 24-32 teams. It is recommended that you register and pay ASAP to avoid being in the position that many teams found themselves in last summer by planning on playing only to have to go back to the parents and explain that you dind't get your application submitted in time.
UPDATE (14U-60/90) - Flower Mound, Texas
We have had so many calls and emails asking us to add a 14U (60/90) group to our Flower Mound World Series that after checking with the paid teams that had already entered, have changed the event to 60/90.

For our Missouri event we expect 24-32 teams in the 10U, 11U, 12U & 13U age groups and 32-48 in the 14U age group. The 14U has had 40+ teams for the last several years and usually goes to a waiting list prior to the entry deadline. If you are a 14U team planning on attending this event you need to register very soon as we are getting very close to a waiting list.

Colorado is new this year and we are happy to report numbers exceeeding our expectations for this time of year. We will accept 24 teams per age group and depending on the numbers we may expand one or two age groups to 32 teams.

Is your organization interested in hosting an AAYBA World Series event in 2009?
Our expansion efforts are ongoing and if you are located in an area at least 500 miles from any of our existing locations and have interest in hosting please contact Carroll L Wood (Woody) or Greg Moore.
You must have access to a minimum of 12 fields, be able to use them for age groups 10U to 14U. Your location must also offer a wide choice of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues to choose from.
