AAYBA 2008 World Series Dates - St Louis, Missouri
Age groups 10U & 14U July 5th to July 12th (Sunday July 13th if needed as a rain date). Games will be played at Chesterfield Sports Complex and Founders Fields at Lake St Louis.
Age groups 11U, 12U, & 13U July 19th to July 26th (Sunday July 27th if needed as a rain date). All games will be played at Chesterfield Sports Complex.

AAYBA WORLD SERIES - MISSOURI OVERVIEW
ALL MANAGERS READ BEFORE ENTERING THE 2008 AAYBA OPEN WORLD SERIES
The AAYBA 2008 Open World Series (Missouri) will be played in St Louis, Missouri at Chesterfield Sports Complex and Founders Fields in Lake St Louis.
The entry fee for the St Louis, Missouri World Series event is $695 which includes 15 tickets for players and coaches to attend a St Louis Cardinals game. Prior to the game all players and coaches will participate on the field in pre-game festivities which include a parade around the field (All teams are urged to bring a banner, players must be in uniform to participate in any on-field festivity).
If additional tickets above 15 are required and/or if tickets are needed for parents and siblings you will receive with your application an order form to purchase extra tickets directly from the Cardinals or you can download the order form at the link provided below:

- Six players will be randomly selected to watch batting practice on the field behind the hitting cages.
- Three players will be randomly selected to throw out the games first pitch, get their photo taken on the field with Cardinal player and receive his autograph.
The 10U & 14U teams will attend the St Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs on Saturday July 5th and the 11U, 12U, & 13U teams will attend the St Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers game on Tuesday July 22nd.
We utilize our drop down format whereas all teams will receive seven games (weather permitting) and champions will be crowned in four to five levels of play - Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze (format may be altered dependant on the number of teams entered).
All teams must supply one new and one good used ball per game.
Any team pulling from the event for any reason, after your entry has been received will forfeit your entry ... no exceptions.
Special Start Requests: Before entering the AAYBA World Series, make sure your team has no other conflicts during the scheduled dates. AAYBA cannot guarantee any special game time requests! Local teams especially, we cannot and will not schedule you only in the evening. Teams need to be prepared to play at the first scheduled game of the tournament and any time throughout the day until the last game of the tournament.
AAYBA will not reserve any spots in any tournament without full payment. Teams that register online will have their spot held for seven days which will enable you ample time to mail your check. However, as the tournament comes closer to filling even registering online won't hold your spot as other teams may be in the same situation and their check may arrive first. Don't delay get your entries in ASAP.
World Series schedules will not be available in advance .... Schedules will be distributed to all managers at check-in.

Each team must also present "proof of insurance" listing AAYBA as an additional insured. I assure you this is required by all National events and the additional insured is quite common. A copy of your insurance certificate will be required at check-in. You are free to purchase insurance from any company of your choice. However, we highly recommend Chappell Insurance Agency. Their rates are quite competitive and the insurance covers you for all events that you play in for a twelve month period.

AAYBA age cut-off is May 1st.
Pitching and base distances: 10U (46/65) - 11U & 12U (50/70) 13U (54/80) - 14U (60/90)
All out of town teams are required to stay in AAYBA sponsoring hotels (if you are an out of town team but drive back and forth to your home each night you are considered a local team). Teams not honoring this requirement will not be accepted into any of our events. Once here teams pulling out of a sponsoring hotel will be removed from the tournament. For scheduling purposes all teams are considered in town either as a local team or an out of town team staying in a local sponsoring hotel. Therefore all teams must be prepared to play when scheduled which includes rain schedules.
Adverse weather or rain: AAYBA may play in adverse weather conditions. However, our format may be changed to lesser time limits or less innings only to complete the tournament. Coaches and players accept these conditions when entering tournament.
The paygate for the AAYBA 2007 Open World Series is $35 per adult for a weeklong pass if purchased at check-in and $40 if purchased at the gate. The daily admission fee is $10 per adult per day. Children 15 and under and seniors 62+ are free.
AAYBA does not guarantee the number of teams however, we expect 24-48 per age group. Generally the 14U age group goes to a waiting list early. We have had 40-60 14U teams for nine consecutive years.

TEAM TRADING PINS
Team trading pin exchanging has become almost as popular as the event itself. If you don't already have a supplier of pins you can contact any of the providers listed below. (AAYBA has no relationship with any of these companies - this is just a list of suppliers that teams have used in the past). We don't schedule a time and place for team exchanging as we have found the kids much more enjoy "trading on the fly" ... before and after games, at the hotel, at the Cardinals game, etc. Plan on 24-32 teams per age group. You decide how many to purchase.
Managers ... don't overlook this as something unnecessary - YOU WILL REGRET IT! Moms get angry when 95% of the players get to participate in something that their child does not. The majority of teams will take part in pin trading. One more word of advice, purchase extra pins for the players brothers and sisters. They will keep themselves busy and out of moms hair.
